Theresa May, Prime Minister of the United Kingdom and Leader of the Conservative Party. May was the longest-serving Home Secretary for over 60 years, and made several reforms of the criminal justice system. May pursued reform of the Police Federation, implemented a harder line on drugs policy, oversaw the introduction of elected Police and Crime Commissioners, and brought in additional restrictions on immigration. In 2012, May commissioned Mark Ellison to review Scotland Yard's investigations into alleged police corruption.
